WHERE ARE THE CHILDREN?
Pine Knolls Learning Center operates under the sponsorship of Pine Knolls Community Center, a fixture in the community since 1968 - nearly 42 years.
As of July 2010, due to budgetary constraints, the afterschool and summer programs are not currently active. The Pine Knolls Board is vigorously pursuing options to revive these essential services, but we need your help.
Children
are the future of our community, our nation, and our world. An
investment in a child is an investment in the future of us all. But
children don't just happen in a vacuum - you must have a parent to have
a child!
A
parent's job is to love their child. Pure and simple. They manifest
that love in many ways: by helping the child and making the child's
life more pleasant; by instilling values, duty, and responsibility; and
many, many other ways.
Pine
Knolls partners with - but does not replace - parents. We provide a
safe, structured, and fun environment in which community children can
gather and learn - both academically and socially.
You
do not have to live here to be one of us. Everyone is invited and
encouraged to become a part of our neighborhood and community. Some
call Chapel Hill "The Southern part of heaven." Come, help us make Pine
Knolls a bit of heaven in Chapel Hill.
