Our Needs are Many . . . Our Resources Few
More than anything we need funds and dedicated volunteers to help organize our now-on-hiatus after school and summer programs.
Most children who attend our after school and summer programs do so at no charge. Simply keeping the lights, phone, and water on is often a challenge. Most snacks and meals are paid for out of the pocket of our staff and volunteers. Needs flier you can hand out to community groups and church congregations.
Our building is old and in need of upgrading, updating, and interior design to best utilize our limited space and create a pleasant learning environment.

**WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO: Commit to regular shifts ☼ Transport to swimming and field trips ☼ Tutor ☼ Serve meals ☼ Clean ☼ Supervise free play ☼ Read ☼ Store donations/organize yard sale ☼ Teach singing, art, dancing, athletics, etc. ☼ Talk about your culture, your job, your hobby, your travels, etc. ☼ Service projects ☼ Suggest and help arrange field trips (Fire Dept, Police Dept, Museum, elected officials, etc.) ☼ Make a suggestion! We are especially eager to introduce our children to anything that supports our theme of privileges, rights, and responsibilities. It is our dream to travel to Raleigh and visit the General Assembly and other important landmarks.
WE ALSO NEED MONEY! Donations are tax deductible and should be made to Pines Community Center (write “Summer Camp” in the memo section). Any amount would be most appreciated. With your help, we can continue to provide this haven for our community’s most precious assets.
